Summary:
Paradise Poker was the very first Poker sites to offer online Poker for real-money, and so is considered as the pioneer of the industry. Paradise Poker is also the only poker room to offer the million dollar freeroll, again setting new standards in the Poker industry.

Software: 7/10

Paradise Poker has it owns unique software (no skins) which has a very nice tropical theme to it. The sound effects are also a very nice touch, as soon as you open Paradise you get this soothing tropical sound, and you know it will be plain sailing all the way (well except for the Poker). The chip sound of people betting also works in stereo as players bet around the table.
Issues with the software are limited availability to hand histories (can only be sent by email). Difficulty to see the amount a player has bet as there is no display of bet amounts. Difficulty to get onto waiting lists and a slight delay in lobby stats. The software can also be quite slow at times, particularly at the showdown of hands.

Bonuses 7/10

The sign-up bonus is 25% (maximum $50) which is fairly small, but it is very easy to clear. For every 100 raked hands that you are dealt cards, $10 is received. This bonus can also be cleared playing tournaments, although only 1 point is received for $1 buy-in fee so this is not recommended.
Paradise do offer fairly regular reload bonuses, and plenty of freerolls and tournaments.

Game Variety 8/10

As well as the normal limit, no-limit and pot-limit holdem, there also are plenty of other games available. With plenty of action available on games like Omaha, 7 Stud, 5 card draw, and crazy Pineapple, with enough traffic to insure that you will actually get some games. They also offer Blackjack and sports betting.

Ring Games 8/10

Ring game traffic is very good at Paradise and their are often some juicy games to play. Stakes are as low as $0.02/0.04 with action all the way up to $40/$80.

Tournaments 8/10

There is a large amount of single table tournaments, as well as plenty of multi-table tourneys at plenty of different buy-ins. And of course the chance to win a million dollars for absolutely nothing! The very best free-roll available anywhere.

Competition 9/10

With plenty of promotions and the million dollar freeroll attracting a lot of new players the competition is generally very soft. The short-handed games tend to be a bit tougher than the full-ring games.

Finance and Customer Services 9/10

The email support for Paradise Poker is extremely quick, you often get an email back within 5 minutes. However, they do not have any telephone or chat support. Most credit and debit cards are accepted, and cash outs can be done straight back onto your card.
